Annaprash is an herbal jam that can help optimize digestion and stomach function. Indigestion is caused by an unhealthy diet, improper combination of food, consumption of toxic substances or excessive stress. This causes instability of the digestive fire, unstable metabolism and insufficient absorption of nutrients, lack of appetite, nausea, diarrhea, heartburn, stomach acidity, gastritis and ulcers.

Ingredients: terminalia chebula, coriandrum sativum, elettaria cardamomum, zingiber officinale, syzygium aromaticum, glycyrrhiza glabra, emblica officinalis, tinospora cordifolia, vitis vinifera, aluminum cyminum, punica granatum, piper nigrum, piper longum, ghee (clarified melted butter), palm syrup .

Quantity: 200g of herbal jam

Recommended dosage: 1 teaspoon (5g) 2-3 times a day alone or with a cup of lukewarm milk or water. To prepare the drink, mix 1 teaspoon (5 g) with 250 ml of warm water.

Usage:

Ayurvedic herbal elixirs improve nutrition of body tissues (dhatus) and purification of body systems (srotamsi). They are part of Ayurvedic rejuvenating and revitalizing therapy (rasayana) for body and mind. Traditionally, they are used with a cup of warm milk or water, which are commonly used in Ayurvedic medicine as a medium or environment (anupama) to prepare, use, channel and better absorb the health effects of herbs or supplements. Other media that enhance the medicinal function of the herb (vehicle) include honey, cane or green syrup, clarified melted butter (ghee) or oil.

We recommend using a maximum of two herbal elixirs at a time. More elixirs can be changed in a day or week if we use them to normalize the symptoms of a disturbed body or mind balance. For optimal effect, use only one elixir at a time, one hour before meals. For a more complex body-mind restoration therapy, elixirs should be used for a longer Ayurvedic treatment period of 1 to 3 months, with dosage as indicated on the label. The specific taste of each elixir reflects part of its therapeutic action and corresponds to the Ayurvedic properties of the six flavors.

Because of its properties, the Ayurvedic system recognizes lukewarm or boiled milk as a common ingredient in health recipes. It reduces the heat of Pitta dosha and calms restless emotions. It is also an excellent food and healthy tonic for people with Vata predominance. Milk enhances the formation of life force, which is the essence of a healthy immune system related to the effective presence of Kapha dosha. People with sensitive digestion or slow metabolism may experience indigestion after consuming milk. In this case, add some ginger, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon or nutmeg to the milk to improve the digestive fire. Organic milk is always preferred.
