Calendula oil is a great oil to always have on hand because of its great anti-inflammatory and healing properties. It is a very soothing oil with antiseptic properties. It can be used for inflammatory and itchy skin conditions as well as topically for infections, burns and skin irritations. It promotes cell renewal and also helps to reduce scarring. It is a popular oil used for babies.

Benefits of Organic Calendula Oil:

SKIN HEALTH

Calendula oil is often used topically to promote skin health. It is thought to contain plant compounds that can help soothe and calm irritated or inflamed skin.

ANTIMICROBIAL PROPERTIES

Calendula oil has natural antimicrobial properties that can help treat minor cuts, scrapes and insect bites.

RAMINANT

The soothing properties of calendula oil make it useful for calming irritated skin and ideal for the skin of young babies, moisturising dry itchy skin and general skin care.

Calendula is often used for acne, eczema, scaly skin, nappy rash, painful cracked nipples, dry cracked skin, wounds and varicose veins.

Infiltrated for 3 months:

This calendula oil is made by infusing fresh calendula petals, which can be infiltrated in organic sweet almond oil for 3 months. The cold-pressed organic almond oil we use absorbs easily into the skin. It is also one of the best multi-purpose base oils, almost odourless and an excellent lubricant. Sweet almond oil is resistant to oxidation, making it an ideal carrier.

Packed in a glass bottle to protect the contents from heat, light, oxidation and moisture.

It is unstandardised, unrefined and natural. Each batch is different and has several unique characteristics. The oil may contain visible deposits or natural particles of the ingredients. This is simply because our oils are never refined, deodorised or filtered, which does not mean that the oil is defective.

USE:

1- Apply a few drops of Fushi Fresh-Pressed® Calendula Oil to any area of the body and massage gently in a circular motion until absorbed. 2- Topical Use: Calendula Oil can be applied directly to the skin to soothe and moisturise. Gently massage a small amount of the oil onto the desired area such as dry or irritated skin, scars or insect bites. It is often used for its soothing and healing properties.

FUSHI TIP:

Calendula oil is gentle and safe for babies and can be used to relieve nappy rash or dry skin.

Calendula officinalis flores (calendula flowers), Prunus dulcis (organic unrefined cold-pressed golden sweet almond oil).

Calendula oil is infused three times for 3 months at a ratio of 1:1. herb to oil. This ensures a guaranteed laboratory-verified minimum of 4000 mg/ltr terpenes. Three infusions over 3 months. It is a cold-pressed, unstandardized, unrefined, organic, hexane-free and natural oil. Each batch is different and has a unique set of properties.

What is calendula oil good for?

Calendula oil is good for soothing and healing the skin. It can be used to relieve dry, irritated or sensitive skin, to promote wound healing, to relieve sunburn, to relieve nappy rash and to soothe dry and itchy scalps.

Can I use calendula oil directly on my skin?

Yes, calendula oil can be used directly on the skin. Using calendula oil on the skin is generally safe for most people, but it is always a good idea to do a patch test first to check for any allergic reactions or sensitivities. To do a patch test, apply a small amount of calendula oil to a small area of the skin, such as the inside of the forearm. Wait 24 hours and observe for any adverse reactions such as redness, itching or irritation. If there are no adverse reactions, it is probably safe to use a larger area of skin.

Is calendula oil suitable for rosacea?

Calendula oil is often touted for its potential benefits in soothing and calming irritated skin, so it can be a popular choice for rosacea sufferers. However, it is important to note that rosacea is a complex skin condition, the severity of which can vary and be caused by a variety of factors. Although some rosacea sufferers may be able to alleviate and improve their symptoms by using calendula oil, this is not guaranteed to suit everyone. In general, when using any new product on rosacea-prone skin, it is important to first perform a patch test to make sure there are no adverse reactions. In addition, consider using products with mild, non-irritating ingredients and avoiding known rosacea triggers such as harsh chemicals, fragrances and excessive heat. Remember that what works for one person may not work for another, so it is best to consult a professional who can assess your individual situation and make tailored recommendations.

Is calendula suitable for psoriasis?

Although calendula oil is commonly used for its potential soothing and moisturising properties, there is limited scientific evidence specifically investigating its effectiveness in the treatment of psoriasis. Psoriasis is a chronic autoimmune skin condition characterised by inflammatory, scaly patches. Although calendula oil may provide some relief from the dryness and minor irritation associated with psoriasis, it is not considered to be the main treatment for this condition. Medical treatment for psoriasis usually includes topical corticosteroids, vitamin D analogues, retinoids and other prescribed medications. If you suffer from psoriasis or any other skin condition, it is very important to consult a dermatologist or healthcare professional who can provide appropriate diagnosis, advice and treatment options for your specific needs. They can recommend the most appropriate and evidence-based treatments to effectively treat psoriasis.

What does calendula do to the skin?

Calendula, also known as marigold, has been used for centuries for its potential benefits in skin care. Calendula has anti-inflammatory properties that can help soothe irritated or inflamed skin. This can be useful for conditions such as minor burns, rashes, insect bites and sunburn. Calendula oil is known for its moisturising properties, which can help hydrate dry or chapped skin. It forms a protective barrier on the skin, helping to retain moisture and prevent water loss. Calendula is traditionally used to treat wounds. It can stimulate tissue regeneration and help the natural healing process of minor cuts, scrapes and bruises. Calendula is generally considered to be mild and well tolerated, making it suitable for sensitive skin types. However, it is still important to carry out a patch test to check for any allergic reactions or sensitivity before applying it to a larger area of skin.
