"Pavana is a scalp scrub with a cleansing and refreshing effect.

Silica exfoliates while coconut oil nourishes and softens.

Ayurvedic extracts of Tulsi and Triphala, together with zinc lactate, tea tree and lavender extracts, tone and purify the skin.

Ayurvedic Altea and Fenugreek, together with Hyaluronic Acid and Carbohydrate Isomerate, maintain hydration and protect against dryness.

With refreshing essential oils of mint, lavender and eucalyptus to enhance the feeling of cleanliness and give a characteristic fragrance.

The scalp is thus gently cleansed and prepared for subsequent treatments.

The name is inspired by two Sanskrit words: pāvana, which means 'purifier', and pavana, one of the names for wind.

Ayurvedic origin

Tulasī (Tulsi), holy basil: rich in natural antioxidants. It has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties as well as anti-ageing properties. In Ayurveda, the aqueous extract of Tulsi is considered to be an excellent anupana (vehicle) for other active ingredients.

Methī or fenugreek: This plant is recognised in Ayurveda as having a variety of properties including hair strengthening, anti-hair loss and hair growth. It is therefore very useful when hair is sparse, thin and weak.

Coconut oil (Narikela): according to Ayurveda, it is particularly suitable for Pitta dosha (sensitive, delicate, normal skin). It has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and soothing, antibacterial and antifungal properties. Nourishes and protects the skin.

Sandalwood (Chandana): according to Ayurveda, it is a rasayana (rejuvenating) plant. It has anti-ageing, soothing and refreshing properties. Rich in antioxidants, it is suitable for all skin types as it has anti-inflammatory properties useful for redness on sensitive skin, antibacterial, antiseptic and astringent properties indicated for oily and dirty skin, and emollient properties useful for dry skin.

Altea (Khatmī): an emollient for the skin and hair due to its mucilaginous and anti-inflammatory properties, useful for dry, sensitive skin, inflammation and eczema. It also has good antioxidant properties. In Ayurveda, it is recommended to soothe Vata and Pitta doshas.

Recommendation for use:

Apply to damp skin and massage into the scalp. Leave on for a few minutes and rinse off. Repeat once a week or as needed.
