Two Shasta Sage Smoke Bundles.
Shasta sage (Salvia Farinacea, Mealy Sage) is also called blue sage in Mexico because it turns blue when it blooms. It has a less pungent smell than white sage and has the same effect of clearing spaces and auras.
Sage incense bundles
Smudge Bundles are all-natural ceremonial incense traditionally burned in Native American rituals such as sweat lodges. Increasingly, doctors, therapists and body care professionals are discovering the benefits of these herbs. Incense bundles are one of the ways people around the world reconnect with the power of Mother Nature. The use of plant and resin fumes may have evolved from primitive campsites in distant caves.
The ceremony of purifying people, places and things with smoke continues today. Certain plant fumes not only helped ward off pesky insects, but also protected food and skin. Some smoke could also ward off unseen spirits and thoughts. To harness the protective cleansing power of ghosts, the leaves or resin were burned to create a smoke that was applied to a person or object, often using a feather fan.
