Ayurvedic jam Arthavaprash, Everest Ayurveda, 200g

Arthavaprash is a nutritional herbal jam to support hormonal balance and optimal functioning of the female reproductive system. Damage to this system is caused by psychosomatic disharmony which leads to tension, nervousness, irritability, insecurity, nausea, lack of appetite and painful menstruation. Infertility, frigidity, low immunity, vaginal discharge, uterine cysts, fibroids and other gynaecological disorders may also occur.

Ingredients: emblica officinalis (Indian leaf), Asparagus racemosus (hard asparagus), Withania somnifera (mistletoe), Tribulus terrestris (cowpea), Apium graveolens (celery), cinnamomum zeylanicum (Ceylon cinnamon), curcuma longa (turmeric), foeniculum vulgare (fennel), piper longum (long pepper), ghee (melted butter), palm syrup.

Quantity: 200g of herb jam.

Recommended dosage: 1 teaspoon (5g) 2-3 times a day on its own or with a cup of lukewarm milk or water. To prepare the drink, mix 1 teaspoon (5 g) with 250 ml of warm water.

Intake:

Ayurvedic herbal elixirs improve the nourishment of body tissues (dhatus) and purification of body systems (srotamsi). They are part of the Ayurvedic body-mind rejuvenation and revitalisation therapy (rasayana). They are traditionally used with a cup of warm milk or water, which are commonly used in Ayurvedic medicine as a medium or environment (anupama) to prepare, use, guide and better absorb the health effects of herbs or supplements. Other mediums that enhance the therapeutic functioning of the herbs (vehikula) are honey, sugar cane or raw syrup, clarified melted butter (ghee) or oil.

We recommend using a maximum of two herbal elixirs at a time. More elixirs can be substituted throughout the day or week if they are used to normalise symptoms of a distorted body or mind balance. For optimum effect, use only one elixir at a time, taking a one-hour break before meals. For more complex therapies to restore the body and mind, the elixirs should be used for a longer period of Ayurvedic treatments, between 1 and 3 months, dosed as indicated on the label. The specific flavour of each elixir reflects part of its therapeutic action and corresponds to the Ayurvedic properties of the six flavours.

Because of its properties, the Ayurvedic system recognises lukewarm or boiled milk as a common ingredient in health recipes. It reduces the heat of Pitta dosha and calms troubled emotions. It is also an excellent food and a healthy tonic for people whose predominant condition is Vata dosha. Milk enhances the formation of the vital force, which is the essence of a healthy immune system, linked to the effective presence of Kapha dosha. People with sensitive digestion or slow metabolism may experience digestive disturbances after consuming milk. In this case, add some ginger, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon or nutmeg to the milk to improve the digestive fire. Organic milk is always preferable.

A balanced, complete diet and a healthy lifestyle are important.
